RODRIGO OLIVEIRA
Processes and devices
A programme in which artist Rodrigo Oliveira openly chats about his working processes and devices, modus operandi, references and interests, and artistic research. Participants will be challenged to enter into an intimate dialogue with the artist’s work — with the genesis of his reinvention and conversion of subjective references into new forms of expression.
“My work explores and reflects on modern architecture, ‘Luso-Tropicalism’, the inheritance of the second wave of conceptual art and the construction and improvisation modes that stem from the triviality and precariousness of everyday situations and experiences, creating objects, installations and complex ambiances charged with aesthetic, social and political encodings.” (Rodrigo Oliveira)
