Retroactive
Lisbon Architecture Triennale 2022

The exhibition Retroactive explores suturing tools capable of reconciling the needs of communities in urgent need of architectural solutions to restitute their sense of belonging and of spatial dignity. We know that the present and future is mainly urban and that one third of humanity still lives in spaces vulnerable to overcrowding, underserved of resources, and lacking basic service infrastructures.

This exhibition in the frame of the Lisbon Architecture Triennale 2022 aims to awaken the interest on the possibilities of intervening in such broken and marginalised territories. Retroactive focuses on different cases carried out in various cities around the globe through seven public initiatives and ten practices that work on these issues.
