Miriam Cahn- What looks at us is the Swiss artist's first solo exhibition in Portugal, in which the body is central to her work. Through painting, drawing, installation, video, sculpture and photography, the artist explores topics related to her objection to all forms of oppression and reaction to current social and political issues, including gender violence, migratory problems and armed conflicts.

Exhibition tours at MAAT do not aim to provide ready answers as to what art and a museum space should be, but rather seek to provide an informal space for experimentation which promotes knowledge and dialogue, a shared responsibility which encourages the visitor to take on an active role.

Notice: This exhibition contains works with content that may offend the sensitivities of some visitors.
