The exhibition Céleste Boursier-Mougenot: from here to ear invites visitors to enter an immersive environment where sound, space and movement converge. Developed from one of the French artist’s most iconic works, the installation transforms MAAT Gallery into an ever-changing sonic ecosystem, in which twenty electric guitars and a group of 100 zebra finches produce a musical composition that is both spontaneous and controlled. Situated between music, sculpture and installation, the work invites reflection on listening, the coexistence of different forms of life, and the ways in which we perceive the spaces we inhabit.
Guided tours of MAAT’s temporary exhibitions are conceived as an informal space for experimentation, fostering knowledge and dialogue through shared responsibility and encouraging visitors to take an active role.
Note: Access to the gallery is subject to capacity limits, with a maximum of 30 visitors permitted in the space at any one time.
