Forms in Space… by Light (in Time), a monumental light installation comprising of a complex grid of white neon lights, suspended in the Oval Gallery. Alongside these light sculptures, the exhibition also includes sound works, installations and videos, highlighting the complexity and depth of the art of Cerith Wyn Evans (Wales, b. 1958).


Cerith Wyn Evans began his career in experimental cinema. In the 1990s, he moved towards a more in-depth investigation of language and perception, combining influences from cinema, music, literature and philosophy.

 

In recent years, he has presented exhibitions in renowned international institutions, such as Pirelli HangarBicocca (2019), Centre Pompidou-Metz (2024) and the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia (2025). He has also participated in various prestigious events, including the Venice Biennale (2003, 2010, 2017) and the 4th Moscow Biennale (2011). In 2018, he was awarded the Hepworth Wakefield Prize for Sculpture.
