Inspired by the exhibition pencils for colouring grey days – Works from the EDP Foundation Art Collection, this discussion and dialogue with the audience takes place in a transdisciplinary context of participation and creation through practical proposals, in a Creative Pastry workshop with chef Juliana Penteado.
This workshop, which begins with a visit to the exhibition, proposes a dialogue between art and creative pastry. Based on the idea of composition — a concept shared by painting, drawing, and three-dimensional creation — participants will be invited to create small edible ‘assemblages,’* exploring shapes, colours, and textures.
More than a culinary experience, it is a sensory and poetic exercise that invites experimentation and personal expression through confectionery as a contemporary visual language. At the end, everyone will be invited to an informal gathering and tasting experience.
Art-Affection: Unlikely Encounters is a programme developed within the scope of the exhibition pencils for colouring grey days – Works from the EDP Foundation Art Collection, which calls upon the generosity of artists and their works capable of transforming moments.
*Assemblage is a form of artistic creation that combines diverse elements — objects, materials or fragments of everyday life — brought together in a new ensemble.

About the Instructor
Juliana Penteado is a Brazilian pastry chef, driven by the senses and the poetry of simple things.
Her career has taken her to Paris, London, and Lisbon, cities that have shaped her creative vision and her language in pastry making.
Her work combines technique, art, and emotion. Sweets that are conceived as sensory experiences, where colour, aroma, and memory come together.
Her creative signature finds expression in the use of culinary essential oils, which perfume her creations like invisible brushstrokes, transforming flavour into sensation.
For Juliana, pastry is an edible art form.
